Preventing Cancer: Eat Carrots, New Medical Research Suggests
"Newcastle University conducted a research that reveals carrots can help prevent cancer. According to the findings,
consuming 5 servings of various types of carrots each week results in a 20% reduction in the development of all types of cancer.
This research, published in the field of Food Science and Nutrition, emphasizes that even consuming just one serving of carrots per week still brings a noticeable decrease.
In comparison to those who never eat carrots, individuals who include at least one serving of carrots in their weekly diet have a 4% lower risk of developing diseases.
For this study, scientists conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of approximately 200 studies with participation from 4.7 million subjects.
Charles Ojobor, a PhD student at Newcastle University's Human Nutrition and Exercise Research Centre, led the research. He mentioned that many researchers have previously observed the benefits of carrots, leading to a wealth of available data for analysis.
The study considered various types of cancer, and the results indicate a 20% lower risk of cancer for those who consume five portions of carrots weekly."
