Xiaomi has officially announced a price drop for the Redmi 12 (8/128GB) in Pakistan. Previously listed at Rs 42,000, the smartphone is now reintroduced to the market with a reduced price tag of Rs 39,999, slashing Rs 2,000 from its original retail cost. Let's explore the key features it offers.
Starting with the display, the Redmi 12 boasts a 6.79-inch LCD panel with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The punch-hole cutout at the top center discreetly houses an 8MP front camera, ideal for capturing impressive selfies and facilitating video calls.
Moving to the rear, the Redmi 12 features a robust camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a practical 2MP macro lens. The distinctive design element involves the raised camera setup directly from the shell, adding to its visual appeal.
Powering the Xiaomi Redmi 12 is a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, ensuring efficient performance within the user interface. In Pakistan, this budget-friendly Xiaomi mobile offers 8GB of RAM coupled with expandable storage of 128GB through a microSD slot.
Running on MIUI 14 based on Android 13, the Redmi 12 provides a customized software experience. The device is complemented by a 5,000mAh battery, supporting 18W fast charging for swift recharges.
Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a headphone jack, and an IP53 rating, offering resistance against minor spills and splashes. The Redmi 12 is available in Midnight Black, Sky Blue, and Polar Silver, now officially priced at Rs 39,999.
