Realme 12 Pro Series Touted with Flagship Periscope Cameras; Designs Showcased by TENAA
Exciting news from Realme as the upcoming Realme 12 series gears up for its debut, with designs for the Realme 12 Pro (RMX3843) and Realme 12 Pro Plus (RMX3841) unveiled by TENAA. Although slated for a global release by the end of January, the official launch may occur in China first.
Drawing inspiration from the flagship Realme GT 5 Pro, live images showcase a distinctive circular camera module and opulent leather finishes for both the Pro and Pro Plus models. Staying true to tradition, the phones feature a curved display and the signature vertical stripe along the rear panel.
The Realme 12 Pro Plus packs a powerful punch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, the same powerhouse found in the Redmi Note 13 Pro. Meanwhile, the Realme 12 Pro opts for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip.
The highlight is Realme's official confirmation of the periscope camera in the Pro Plus variant. A teaser post on X boldly states, "It’s time for #Periscope," accompanied by cheeky "200MP" references. Realme claims improved image clarity at high zoom levels and superior subject-background separation in portraits for their latest flagship mobile.
While the Realme 12 Pro's appearance on TENAA hints at a periscope lens, confirmation on whether it also boasts a 200MP lens remains inconclusive. Realme emphasizes that a phone is considered a flagship with a periscope, leaving room for more details to emerge.
Adding to the intrigue, the Realme 11 Pro Plus features a 200MP sensor without optical zoom. As anticipation builds, we eagerly await more details on the entire lineup. Stay tuned for updates on these exciting developments.
